Announcing the opening of our FDA-registered freeflex®
production facility in Wilson, North Carolina.
In 2024, we opened our state-of-the-art Fresenius Kabi freeflex® IV bag facility in Wilson, NC – backed by two FDA-registered
plants in Europe. Part of a nearly $1 billion investment, this new U.S. plant will translate into a significant increase in IV bag production capacity, enhanced supply reliability and availability, and shorter lead times for our U.S. customers.
The most advanced plant of its kind in the U.S., the Wilson facility features vertically integrated in-line automation,
allowing the site to produce millions of quality freeflex IV bags every year in a wide range of sizes and formats.
In anticipation of the opening of this North Carolina facility, Fresenius Kabi has rapidly expanded our IV therapy portfolio in the U.S. with IV solutions urgently needed by the U.S. market. Our full freeflex IV bag portfolio will offer more than 100 product codes – many with 36-month shelf life:
